AJS Sponsors Cape Law Society AGM

The Cape Law Society AGM was held in the heat of Kimberley this year, and was well attended by legal practitioners from all over the Cape region. The keynote speaker was the Minister of Justice, The Honourable Michael Masutha, who spoke about transfor-mation and the shortage of black women at the Bar. The business of the AGM went off as planned. This was followed by some healthy fun, valuable business interaction and socialising between legal practitioners and suppliers to the legal industry. AJS sponsored the Royal Gala Dinner, with music by HannahE and the Unigma band. A highlight of proceedings was the performance by the Kimberley Childrens' Choir, who will be competing in Russia later this year. AJS also sponsored the prize for the lucky draw. The winner of a flat-screen TV was Mr Mark Fletcher of Fletcher Attorneys in Kimberley. Great to keep it local! Chris Pearson, director of AJS thanks the Cape Law Society on behalf of AJS for the opportunity to be a part of the success of this function. “We look forward to next year and hope that we will have the honour of being involved again.”

AJS staff comes together for the Santa Shoe Box drive

The AJS staffers can be extremely proud of themselves. The number of boxes given to the Santa Shoebox project more than doubled that of last year. “We aim to double this again next year,” says Anli Venter, senior support consultant at AJS. We want to involve the AJS client base more next year and will be sending out the challenge to all AJS customers.” In addition to all the staff at AJS who contributed so generously we would like to give a special thanks to Boqwana Burns, a new AJS customer who donated so freely to this project. Thank you!
